1. About this service
This website provides legal document drafting services and legal information relating to wills, lasting powers of attorney, and related documents.
We are not a firm of solicitors and do not provide reserved legal activities, tax advice, inheritance tax advice, financial advice, or investment advice.
2. Scope of services
The services offered include:
drafting wills based on client instructions
drafting lasting powers of attorney based on client instructions
drafting trust documents where a trust has been selected by the client
We draft documents strictly in accordance with the instructions provided by the client via an online questionnaire or telephone appointment.
We do not advise on:
the suitability of any trust
estate planning strategies
tax or inheritance tax consequences
If your circumstances fall outside the scope of this service, you will be informed before any drafting begins.
3. Client instructions
Instructions may be provided:
by completing an online questionnaire; or
by telephone appointment, where notes will be taken and treated as the client’s confirmed instructions.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate and complete.
4. Capacity and freedom
By using this service, clients confirm that:
they understand the nature and effect of the documents being prepared
they are acting freely and without pressure
they believe they have the mental capacity to give instructions
We do not provide medical or formal capacity assessments.
5. Payment and commencement of work
Payment is required in advance.
Work begins once:
payment has been received; and
completed instructions have been provided.
Prices are fixed unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Amendments
One round of reasonable amendments is included unless stated otherwise.
Further changes may be subject to an additional fee.
7. Timescales
Drafts are usually prepared within a few working days after receipt of payment and completed instructions. Timescales may vary depending on complexity and workload.
No guaranteed turnaround times are provided.
8. Client responsibility for execution
Clients are responsible for signing and witnessing documents correctly.
Guidance will be provided, but responsibility for proper execution rests with the client.
9. Limitation of liability
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant service.
We are not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate information provided by the client or failure to follow execution instructions.
10. Cancellation and refunds
Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
